Basaynon Priest

A Basaynon Priest will be in the United States to serve a month of holy work this summer. Fr. Anwar Adona will be serving the community of Sacred Heart Church in Galveston, Texas. The parish priest, Fr. Niall Nolin mentioned this great announcement on his weekly "notes from the pastor":
so if your near Galveston, Texas or visiting in that area around the month of June, go and visit our fellow Basaynon!

In my absence, you will have a priest friend of mine, whom I met in the Philippines last summer, to look after you. His name is Father Anwar Mari Llarenas Adona. He was born in Tacloban City in the Leyte Region of The Philippines, but there will be a wealth of information about him in an interview that will be published in next week’s bulletin. He will be here with you from next weekend until the end of June. It is his first time in the U.S., so make sure he goes back to the Philippines much heavier than he came. That's what
happened to me when I came here for the first time more than 15 years ago (from Ireland). I know you will be very welcoming and caring of him. I have already told him that he couldn’t come to a nicer community. He and you will both be blessed.
